Most first time parents should attend Antenatal Classes, second time parents may need the refresher however they tend to skip these given their experience. Keep in mind practices do change and every baby is different so why not attend to polish those parenting techniques!
Your Antenatal Class should involve the following;
The emotional and physical changes that will occur during all stages
Breastfeeding
The stages of Labour
When to come to hospital
If you are choosing to deliver in a Hospital, you will be offered a Tour to familiarise yourself with the environment before you go into labour
Parent Crafting – Settle baby, bath and nappy change, babies cues
Post-natal adjustment – become aware of physical and emotional changes following birth. Whats normal and whats not.
Local community resources – where you can find additional support when you require it
